File System (There are different types of file system)

File System

There are different types of file system. They are as follows.

1. FAT     (FILE ALLOCATION TABLE)

2. NTFS  (NEW TECHNOLOGY FILE SYSTEM)

3. EXT2, EXT3, EXT4, SWAP

4. HPFS  (HIGH PERFORMANCE FILE SYSTEM)

5. CDFS  (COMPACT DISK FORMAT SYSTEM)

6. UDFS  (UNIVERSAL DISK FORMAT SYSTEM)

1. FAT (FILE ALLOCATION TABLE)

In FAT there are two types.

A. FAT 16 FILE SYSTEM

B. FAT 32 FILE SYSTEM

A. FAT 16 FILE SYSTEM

v  FAT 16 file system support only 2 GB of the Hard disk space.

v  FAT 16 file system support operating system.

§  DOS (Disk Operating System)

§  Win 95

§  Win 98 SE

v  FAT 16 file system does not provide security to data/ files.

v  FAT 16 file system does not support NON-DOS partition.

Note: For instance, if we install windows 98 SE operating system using FAT 16 file system and rest of the other partitions are in NON-DOS then those partitions will be Hidden/not-visible.

A. FAT 32 FILE SYSTEM

v  FAT 32 file system support more than 2 GB but not more than 32 GB of the hard disk space.

Note: This can be experienced while we are installing win 2000/WinXP/Win 2003 Server operating system.

v  FAT 32 file system support operating system.

§  DOS

§  Win 98

§  Win XP

§  Win 95

§  Win 2000 family

§  Win 2003 server

v  FAT 32 file system does not provide security to data/files.

v  FAT 32 file system does not NON-DOS partition.

2. NTFS  (NEW TECHNOLOGY FILE SYSTEM)

v  NTFS support large disk space.

v  NTFS support operating system.

§  WIN NT

§  WIN XP PRO

§  WIN VISTA

§  WIN 7

§  WIN 8

§  WIN 10

§  WIN 2000 FAMILY

§  WIN 2003 SERVER

§  WIN 2016 SERVER

§  WIN 2008 SERVER

§  WIN 2012 SERVER

v  NTFS is more secured than FAT32 file system.

v  NTFS is a user friendly.

v  NTFS is soon affected by birus.

3. EXT2, EXT3, EXT4, SWAP [2G]

v  It support large disk space.

v  It support operating system.

§  UNIX

§  FEDERO HPFS

§  SAMBA SERVER

§  LINUX

§  SUSE

§  U BANTU

v  It is more secured than NTFS.

v  It is not a user friendly.

v  It is leastly affected by birus.

v  It is mainly used for security purpose.

4. HPFS  (HIGH PERFORMANCE FILE SYSTEM)

v  HPFS support large disk space.

v  HPFS is more advance than FAT32.

v  HPFS support operating system.

§  MACAINTOSH [MAC]

v  HPFS is more secured than FAT32.

v  HPFS is not a user friendly.

v  HPFS  is not at all affected by virus.

5. CDFS  (COMPACT DISK FORMAT SYSTEM)

v  It is for small capacity disk like CD-R/W.

For example: 700MB [CD]

6. UDFS  (UNIVERSAL DISK FORMAT SYSTEM)

v  It is for big capacity disk like DVD-RW

For example:

4.7 GB [DVD]

8.5 GB [DOUBLE LAYER]

50 GB  [BLUE RAY DISK]

Best tricks to remember atomic mass number.

Best trick to remember atomic weight number in Hindi  Here is a very good way to remember atomic mass number so that you can remember atomic mass number very easily   Atomic Mass Number :- The mass number of an atom is the sum total of the number of protons and the number of neutrons.  Z = p + n  The atomic mass number is expressed in amu(atomic mass unit) .   To prepare for various exams, you must read these posts of ours:-  biology gk set-1  V.V.I gk Question :- Reflection and Refraction of Light  pH value gk questions  Geography Set-1(100 Questions)  In this method you must remember the value of atomic number of elements. Here is how to calculate mass number up to 40.  This method fails when the mass number is more than 40.  Generally questions up to mass number 40 are asked in the examinations.  Mass numbers greater than that will have to be crammed or another method is adopted.  • How to easily remember th...

Force and momentum numerical problems

 Physics numerical :- Force and Momentum  Q.1 .  A force of 12 N on an object produces an acceleration of 4 m/s.  How much force is needed to produce an acceleration of 10 m/s?  A) 30N  B) 12N  C) 10N  D) 20N  ANSWER= A ) 30N  Explain:-  F = ma  m = F/a  m = 12/4  m =3 kg  Therefore, force for an acceleration of 10 m/s² = ma  = 3×10  = 30N ans.  Q.2.  The momentum of an object is 20 kgm/s.  How much force is needed to stop it in 4 seconds :-  A) 4N  B) 12N  C) 10N  D) 5N  ANSWER= D) 5N  Explain:- From the formula of impulse,  force × time = change in momentum  Now, initial momentum = 20 kgm/s  Final momentum = 0 kgm/s (momentum also becomes zero when velocity is zero)  Change in momentum = 20 - 0  = 20 kgm/s  Therefore, F× 4=20  F = 20/4  = 5N ans.  Q.3.  An 80 g bullet is fired from a 20 kg gun with a velocit...
