INTRODUCTION TO MOTHERBOARD DRIVERS
(1) What is a drivers?
→ A drivers is a program that lets O.S to communicate with the computer hardware. Computer parts need a driver because they do not use standard commands different O.S also need different drivers,
A driver written for linux can not be used for micro-soft window & vice versa.
Many parts of a computer need drivers but most popular are
(i) Graphic Card/ VGA/Display Adapter/ Chipset
(ii) Network card/Ethernet controller [LAN]/ Network controller [WAN]/ PCI Bridge/ Network adapter
(iii) Sound Card/ Multi-Media Audio Controller/PCI- device/Sound vedio & Game controller.
(iv) Modem
(v) Printer & Scanner
Some other parts do not need drivers because they use a kind of standard the O.S recognize those parts & knows.
How to use those parts

STEPS TO INSTALL DRIVERS
Steps: [My computer] Right click
↓
Manage
↓
Device Manager
↓
Note: The devices which are yellow in color, they are need to be installed because the O.S has not recognized. Those device drivers.

For example: If we are installing
[VGA] - Right click
↓
Update drivers
↓
☑ yes new & every time I connect a device.

Click on next
↓
☑ Install from a list or specific location (advanced)
↓
Click on next
↓
☑ Don't search I will choose the drivers to install
↓
Click on next
↓
☑ Common hardware type
For example: [Display Adapter]

Click on next
↓
Select the device drivers you want to install for their hardware
↓
Click on [Have disk]
↓
Click on [Browse]
↓
Look in [CD/DVD]
↓
Select the appropriate drivers
↓
Click on Open
↓
Click on OK

Click on Next
